About 200 kilometers southwest of Benghazi, Gaddafi’s loyal armed forces first used tanks and heavy artillery to fight against the rebels.
Gaddafi’s troops once controlled the city’s oil terminals, but the anti-government armed forces rushed over to fight with Gaddafi forces and they repelled the attack, the small town re-controlled by anti-government armed forces. When the anti-government protesters celebrate at the local town, the Libyan fighter aircraft fired two missiles to the city, which causing numerous deaths. Gaddafi’s military warplanes also bombed one ammunition warehouse or military barracks of rebels in the town.
According to UN estimates, ore than 1,000 people were killed since from the February 15, the anti-government protests broke out.
