India’s indigenously developed hollow-long-endurance UAV, “Rustom No. Ⅰ” (Rustom) in the 16 day of the first test flight crashed. Talks with potential partners, including the Tata Group, L & T and Godrej and Boyce, the final decision will most likely be announced before the end of this year.
The report also said Rustom the longest flight distance of 3,000 km and a maximum altitude of 35,000 feet, it will have more than 24 hours of battery life, 250-500 kg payload and low radar and acoustic signals . Rustom also be able to transmit data via satellite to monitor the scope of its more than 1000 kilometers or more. Rustom will be equipped with Israel’s maritime patrol radar and electro-optical sensors, electronic warfare and communications systems will be India’s own production.
